Description

Traditional Cycladic villa of 130 sq.m., built with stone at 2005. It is located at the southern point of Paros in the village of Agkairia, in a quiet location overlooking the blue of the Aegean sea. From the yard you can see straight ahead the gulf of Aliki, Antiparos and the small islands of Panteronisia which are located between Paros and Antiparos. You can also see the islands of Folegandros and Sikinos, while on the left you can see the island of Ios. If the weather is tottaly clear you can see a part of Santorini. At the right hand you can see the church of Saint George, which is the main church of the village. The house is built by Parian stone, the roof is lined with chestnut wood. The floor and the yard is is made by fish stone as it called in Greek “Psaroplaka”. It is built with the original Cycladic style, with very wide walls to avoid the heat at summer and the cold at winter. Also the size of the wall provides sound protection from the strong north winds at the winter!
